The ACTi TCM-1231 is a H.264 megapixel outdoor PoE bullet camera. The TCM-1231 features a 1/3" Aptina progressive scan CMOS sensor, a 3.3-12 mm (f/1.6) varifocal lens, and an infrared LED array for day and night surveillance.

With the mechanical IR cut filter, the camera assures good color rendition in up to 0.5 lux illumination, whereas the IR LEDs make for clear imagery even in total darkness (0 lux). The TCM-1231 has Auto White Balance adjustments to get the most natural colors. Auto Gain Control adjusts the signal strength to maintain a constant brightness level.

Offering SXGA resolution (1280 x 1024) at 18 fps, the TCM-1231 IP Camera supports selectable H.264, MPEG-4 SP, and MJPEG compressions with dual streaming. Wide dynamic range (WDR) includes a special process that enhances the view in brightest and darkest areas to bring out greater details.

Along with the digital input/output, the camera supports two-way audio that allows the users to communicate with visitors or intruders. Built in hardware motion detection feature detects presence of relevant motion in the area under surveillance.

The Class 3 PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) supplies power to the camera from the network itself without any extra wiring for auxiliary power outlets. It has an IP66-rated weatherproof, vandal-resistant housing to ensure uninterrupted surveillance in exposed and high-risk locations.
