Axis 215 PTZ-E - 0306-001 - Overview
The Axis 215 PTZ-E is a fully weatherproof IP camera with controllable pan-tilt-zoom operation. It features Axis’ Auto-flip feature for simulated 360° panning on a PTZ camera and true day/night functionality for around-the-clock surveillance.
The camera comes in a solid aluminum housing which is rated IP-66 outdoor ready. It contains 2 heaters and 3 fans allowing it to be placed in outdoor areas where it will be exposed to weather or temperature extremes.
Easy to install, the camera is supplied with a pre-mounted wall bracket with Ethernet and power cables for quick connection. Like all IP cameras offered by Network Webcams, the Axis 215 PTZ-E network security camera has a built-in web server and can be viewed over a Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) or via the Internet as a streaming IP webcam.

- Outdoor ready, the Axis 215 PTZ-E can be installed indoors or out. IP66 rating and built-in temperature regulation ensure that the camera will perform in any conditions
- Dual-streaming video allows two independent video streams to run simultaneously using different image quality settings
- Controllable pan-tilt-zoom operation. Pan 170° left and right (360° using Auto-flip), 180° tilt control and 12x optical zoom (48x combined with 4x digital zoom)
- Auto-flip feature reproduces an endless 360° rotation to allow continuous tracking of moving targets
- E-flip will automatically flip an image vertically when tracking a moving target directly underneath the camera
- True day/night switching by use of an IR cut-filter will produce high quality, rich color images during the day and automatically switch to infrared sensitive black and white video in periods of low-light and at night
- 20x preset positions allow user defined views to be saved for monitoring specific areas or objects easily
- Automatic image transfer by email or FTP based on alarm trigger such as video motion detection or scheduled/periodic events
- 9MB pre-/post-alarm image buffering allowing up to approx. 4 minutes of CIF resolution video at 4fps
- Pre-mounted wall bracket for easy installation with a standard 1.5 inch NPT for alternative mounting options such as pendant ceiling mount etc.
- 2 built-in heaters and 3 built-in fans allow the camera to operate at temperature extremes from -20°C to +40°C
